I don't know who professional photographers do it. Its taken me over a week to go through 400 photos from our Hueco trip. Luckily Adobe Lightroom makes it somewhat easier. This week Dead Point Magazine contacted me for some pictures of Lynn Hill doing Chablanke. Check out the photos here.
Digital Photo Pro magazine is having a photo contest. First place is 1500 smackers or a Nikon D300 (or some other other company's DSLRs that no one cares about). I might have submitted to late or not had the right format to get accepted but here's what I would have had in the contest.
I submitted the B&W sign photo over the because of file and photo size restrictions but I like it better.
Moses came to Flagstaff in search of our finest bouldering. We offered Cherry, we offered Kelly, we offered The Draw, but instead he opted for our lesser known test pieces of Buffalo Park. Having some left over knee problems from Squamish he decided not to try the Matson Problem, however, he could not resist the urge to try the cave problem behind it.
Last Thursday, Planet Terror, the old Kelly Canyon project in the corner at the Trailer Park went down after many days of trying. This last weekend took us to Tucson to visit my parent. We saw one cool boulder.
The enduro pump suckfest is finally over. Yesterday as the temps were dropping I was able to climb Pink Lightening into Chandlar Dub Allstar to create Pink Lightening Ultra. I fell once from the last move of the 30 something foot roof travers linkup but was able to rest long enough to send before dark. What will I do with this new found endurance. Probably nothing. Hueco is in less than a month and its time to crimp.
After evacuating work today because the forest service started a control burn to close my work I headed over to Gloria to meet up with Ana. The wind that spread the fire also lowered the temps enough to be able to finally send Jason Ploss's Big, Buff and Tough. This one felt so hard at the end of last season but today I was able to dig deep into the crux left hand hold and make it to the top.
